Fees
A transparent fee policy
Trust begins with clarity. The financial terms of the mandate are set out at the first meeting, before any commitment.
Principle
Fees are determined taking into account the work performed, the complexity and importance of the matter, the responsibility assumed, the result obtained and the client’s situation, in accordance with the rules governing the legal profession.
Hourly rate
CHF 350.– / hour (excluding disbursements)
The hourly rate is generally CHF 350.–, excluding disbursements. VAT is not currently charged. The rate and billing terms are agreed in writing upon acceptance of the mandate.
To the appropriate extent, the firm takes the client's financial means into account. Legal aid may also be available where its conditions are met; Mr Kachkara will advise you on this at the first meeting.
First consultation
The first consultation serves to examine the situation, identify the legal issues at stake and determine the appropriate steps. Fees are calculated according to the time spent, at an hourly rate of CHF 350, unless otherwise agreed.
What this means in practice
- Fee terms are set out before the mandate begins and confirmed in writing.
- A retainer may be requested at the outset; it is credited against services rendered.
- Invoices itemise the services performed and the time spent.
- Any question about fees can be raised at any time, without ceremony.
